Change the way you think about yourself. Replace the negative statements with positive desires. Saying “I don’t want to be fat” or “I will never be happy” are all negative affirmations. Most times we are unaware we are doing this. Instead say “I want to be healthy” or “I am happy” or “I like myself enough to know I deserve happiness”. When you affirm to yourself negative thoughts, you seek out things that reinforce this belief and only see the negative. Ever notice how when you have a bad start to the day, the day keeps getting worse?Sometimes we have actual bad days, but sometimes we create bad days with our thoughts. When you have affirmed to yourself it’s a “bad day” you only focus on the bad things happening. You could have something great happen to you that day, but you miss it because your frame of mind is only focusing on it being a “bad day”.

So change the thought process and your internal dialogue. It can be hard to do and doesn’t come as easy for some, but the more you do it, the more ingrained it becomes. They say you are only as good as the company you keep. Since you’re with yourself every second of the day, make that company supportive, compassionate & positive.

❁ i am allowed to get rid of the toxic people in my life

❁ and most importantly, i can get through anything.
